What are the little things in life…

I never take the little things for granted in life. I think it’s the only way to get through each day. I think we have best moments in life, and not necessarily best days! These are the moments that keep me sane...
When my dog wakes me up and  stretches out his little paws.
When I get home from work and he has never been happier to see me.
When you wake up so early, everything is silent and peaceful, the sun is rising and the sky is full of colour.
No red lights when you’re driving.
Not being late.
Justice being done in the world, though this one is more rare than it should be.
Walking Dun Laoghaire Pier anytime – when it’s sunny, when it’s windy (so much fresh air), during sun set.
Driving up Dublin/Wicklow Mountains and being able to view the whole of Dublin on a clear day.
The warmth from the sun that goes missing all too often here
Thunderstorms when you’re inside and warm.
Star gazing.
The beach.
The feeling of tiredness but accomplishment after a workout.
When someone you love says or does the sweetest thing and your heart melts.
Breath of fresh air that hits you after a long day in the office.
Your favourite sports team scoring a goal.
When your favourite band/musician walks on stage and the crowd erupts.
Seeing your best friend after a long time.
Making your best friend laugh.
When your favourite tv show ends on a cliffhanger.
Getting out of work on a Friday evening.
A long deep sleep.
The journey to the airport before going on holidays.
Chocolate brownies.

  1. Hi Vacantpenguin, thanks for introducing yourself by following our site. We love your list! If you’re on facebook we invite you to visit the RAXA Collective page as well. Hopefully you’ll find more little things. See you there!
